Jared Valarao

Chief Financial Officer, Philippines AirAsia

Jared Valarao is the Chief Financial Officer of Philippines AirAsia. He is responsible for planning, managing, and controlling the accounting, treasury, corporate finance, commercial forecasting and strategic planning functions for the Philippine subsidiary of the world’s best low-cost airline. He led the recovery of Philippines AirAsia as the operating fleet more than doubled from 7 operating aircraft upon joining to 16 as of this writing. He negotiated terms and contracts, and restructured debts, which saved the airline USD 1 million monthly. He shored up liquidity even further by raising an extra USD 12 million through commercial contracts and vendor partnerships.
Prior to joining AirAsia, Jared was with Colgate-Palmolive, the world’s leading oral care brand, as the Head of Revenue Growth Management. He is part of the team which led the Philippine business to unprecedented growth. They surpassed pre-pandemic levels, as profits grew as much as the entire European business units of Colgate-Palmolive combined even with supply chain disruptions and high logistics costs. The brands consistently outperformed competition even in already mature and highly competitive categories.

Elmer Sarmiento

Senior. Asst. Vice President (AVP2)- Finance & Accounting

Elmer Sarmiento is currently the Sr. Assistant Vice President (AVP2) of Finance & Accounting Operations for Personiv - an eClerx Company. He
has 23 vears of finance experience. He's also an adjunct faculty member in the College of Business. Management & Accountancy of De La Salle Araneta University. Before joining Personiv, he served as CFO of Business Process Outsourcing International. He also served in leadership roles focusing on process transitions, project management, and service delivery for Conduent-formerly Xerox Services, She Shared Services Asia BV & Maersk Global Service Center.

Brian Liu

Chief Financial Officer, Cirtek Holdings Philippines Corp

Brian Liu is a global visionary and entrepreneur with expertise in semiconductor technology, finance, food & beverage, and sophisticated electronics manufacturing. His heritage is deeply rooted in manufacturing, having begun working in the production line handling various projects involving multiple semiconductor device families and chipsets. Overseeing design phases all the way to qualification, reliability studies, and full-on mass production whilst overseeing quality measures. Taking all these disciplines and principles, Brian has applied these skills onto other industries as well. Brian has great passion for humanity and what mankind can achieve. He believes that by powering the very foundation of innovation through the semiconductors that he builds, this enables humanity to reach further.

Michael San Diego

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, EON Group

Mr. Michael San Diego has 10 years of experience as a full-time CFO, out of the almost three decades (30 years) of relevant experience and progressive responsibilities and track record of success in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Banking, Tax Management, Audit and Operations. He has more than 3 years significant experience as Corporate Treasurer. His experience includes Project Fund Sourcing, Treasury Restructuring, Bank Partnering, Vendor Management and Cash Flow Reengineering, Reconstructive Accounting, among others. He is currently connected with JK Capital Finance as a CFO – Chief Financial Officer, handling Finance and Admin. Prior to joining JK Capital, he was a full-time consultant to Solar Philippines Group where he led the reconstruction of its accounting books and financial statements, and some controllership works. While with Solar, he was doing other consultancy works with various organization doing treasury, tax management and financial training.

Harry Salas

Harry has over 28 years of experience specializing in corporate finance in managing financial data, analyzing expenses and profits, and setting overall budgets for top
pharmaceutical, healthcare, technology, and semiconductor companies. He is well versed in both internal and external audit, including enterprise risk management, which he has facilitated for the top pharmaceutical company in the Philippines, as well as multinational and listed companies in the US and Japan with PH offices. His most recent assignment was to serve as the CEO of an AI company with a focus on top-tier financial institutions and hospitals as its primary customer base. He is currently a consultant of various companies engaged in M&A, organization development and BPO operations.

Harry's approach involves leveraging data to make informed financial decisions. He emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and risk management. He is very driven and results-oriented, always remembering that an effective leader is one who can identify the strategies and people, walk the talk, and motivate the team to turn the vision into reality.

Helena Araújo

Finance Director, Kuehne + Nagel, Inc.

Helena is the national CFO of Kuehne + Nagel Philippines. She has experience in multicultural environments and different organization levels, she is passionate about building effective teams and processes.

Her career started in her home country Brazil as a billing clerk, after holding several different finance positions she moved to Switzerland working for 5 years at Kuehne + Nagel's headquarter, there she was part of building and executing strategic initiatives and actively supported acquisition projects in addition to her financial planning and analysis activities. Since January 2021 Helena is leading the finance team in the Philippines.

Helena holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Mackenzie University in Sao Paulo, and technical degrees in Foreign Trade and National and International Transportation and Logistics by Humboldt Institute in Sao Paulo.

Anthony Nool

Head of Controlling, Henkel Asia Pacific Service Centre

Anthony Nool is the Head of Finance and Compliance of Henkel Philippines Inc and Henkel Philippines Adhesives Technologies Inc. and Head of Controlling of Henkel Asia Pacific Service Center leading 80+ employees. He is responsible for planning, accounting, finance, operations and business controlling of three legal entities in the Philippines as well as compliance and project management. He ensures financial stability, transform the finance and controlling activities to a world class status, drive saving initiatives and work with all business partners at all levels to ensure smooth collaboration.

Allan Quijano

Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Management, St Luke’s Medical Center

Allan is currently the Senior VP for Supply Chain Management of St. Luke's Medical Center where he also previously held leadership roles in Finance, Corporate Planning and Business Development. He has also served as the Chief of Staff to the President of St. Luke's prior to his current role. He also had stints as a CFO in Reliance Health Services Inc (a subsidiary of Unilab), as Head of Logistics in Ramcar and Head of Business Planning and Analytics in Globe Telecom. Allan graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Management Engineering and later on obtained two masters degrees from the Asian Institute of Management (MBA in 2008 and MS in Innovation and Business in 2021). Dexter Moya

Jeff-Mike Smith Sule

Jeff-Mike Smith Sule is a national speaker on topics that involve external and internal audit, IT audit, real estate and environmental planning, accounting and taxation, bookkeeping, business process management and organizational transformation.

He graduated First Honorable Mention in secondary school and Magna Cum Laude in PUP-Manila with a bachelor degree in accountancy.

He worked as an IT and later on Financial Auditor at SGV and Co. He was also an accreditor of the Assoc. of Local Colleges and Univ.

He also worked for ÆON Credit Service, under various management capacity: Internal Control Manager, Portfolio Manager and Internal Audit Manager. He is currently connected with American Data Exchange Company as an principal auditor while doing freelance consultancy engagements.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Accountants based in Singapore, a Certified Internal Auditor, a Scrum Fundamentals Certified, a Certified Bookkeeper under The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers based in United Kingdom, and TESDA, and an Accredited Accounting Teacher and Accredited CPA in Commerce and Industry Practice. He has four active professional licenses under PRC, to wit, Certified
Public Accountant, Real Estate Appraiser, Real Estate Broker, and Environmental Planner. He placed Top 7 and Top 2 in the 2010 CPA Licensure Examination and 2014 Real Estate Appraiser Licensure Examination, respectively.

Rafael Jose Olympia

Chief Executive Officer, Malaya Tech Consulting

After earning his Math-Physics Undergraduate and Masters in Statistics from Stanford University, Raj has worked in the data science and finance IT spaces here in the Philippines. Prior to founding Malaya Tech, he worked in one of the country's leading pharmaceutical firms under the finance systems team, during which he was awarded for his contributions in digital transformation, including being named as one of the top outstanding performers of the whole company. His teams at Malaya Tech have done numerous Planning and ERP implementations, spanning different finance, manufacturing and HR functions. He believes that adaptive systems transform companies, taking them from menial tasks to actionable insights.

Armin Paul Allado

Chief Treasury Operations Officer, Bureau of the Treasury

Mr. Armin Paul Allado serves as the Division Chief of Risk Management Division for the Bureau of the Treasury, supervising the risk analytics and monitoring function of the agency. He is also a part-time lecturer in Data Analytics and Finance at the Ateneo de Manila University and University of Asia & Pacific. Prior to his current post, he served as Chief Market Strategist for the Fund Management Division and Technical Assistant for the Debt and Risk Management Division also at the Bureau of the Treasury. Paul is currently taking MSc in Analytics at Georgia Institute of Technology, with specialization in Machine Learning and Computational Data Analytics. He previously finished MSc in Finance at the London School of Economics and MSc in Applied Mathematics at the University of the Philippines - Diliman. Jack Yeo

Jack Yeo is the Country Manager for Oracle NetSuite Philippines and leads their operations here. Prior to Oracle NetSuite, Jack was with Johnson Controls Inc., leading their Asia Pacific Marketing function and Key Accounts sales based out of their HQ in Shanghai, before being posted to the Philippines to do M&A and lead their business here.

Throughout his professional career, Jack has led P&Ls and held Sales & Marketing leadership roles across the Asia Pacific region and in the US, with companies like BDO Unibank, GE, IBM and the Singapore Trade Development Board. In BDO, He was the SVP and Head of Marketing and Communications for the whole Bank, and in GE, he was one of the first members selected to be in the GE Experienced Commercial Leadership Program based in the US, holding multiple senior commercial roles throughout his tenure there with the various GE businesses (Power & Water, Healthcare IT, Capital, Lighting). He also earned his commercial Lean Six Sigma Black Belt during his stint there.

Baby Ouida Rivera-Montesclaros

Baby Ouida Rivera-Montesclaros, CPA, CMA, CFC is the Senior Director for Global Finance of ADP, a Fortune 500 Human Capital organization with headquarters in New Jersey, USA. Dr. Benjamin R. Quiñones, Jr.

Board Member and Director of Organization Development, Livegreen International Inc.

As Chief Economist of the Technical Board for Agricultural Credit (TBAC, 1976-1983), he was part of the Inter-Agency Committee for the Development of the Philippine Crop Insurance System whose recommendations led to the creation of the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation. He designed the “Self Help Goup-Bank Linkage (SHG-Bank Linkage) Programme” and supervised its implementation in India, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines while serving as Secretary General of the Asia Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (APRACA, 1983-1992). Today, the SHG-Bank Linkage Program is the largest poverty alleviation programme in India with an outreach of more than 100 million poor households. In the last 5 years (2017-present), he ventured to become a social entrepreneur -- in the fields of organic farming (Board member of Livegreen International Inc.); coconut processing for export (Co- founder and Board Member of Obra Palma Inc); and digital technology (Co-founder, President & CEO, Farmers Bazaar Fintech Philippines, Inc.).

Jonas Marie Dumdum

Consultant, Industry Solutions Consulting (ISC)

Jonas Marie Dumdum is a Consultant under the Industry Solutions Consulting (ISC) sector of Nomura Research Institute Singapore Pte Ltd Manila Branch, and is one of the lead consultants of the NRI Manila Sustainability Service. He is a cohost of the Sustainarumble! Podcast, the first podcast in the Philippines that talks about issues on sustainable development in the country which started in May 2020. He also is Sustainarumble's permanent representative to the Stakeholders' Chamber for the SDGs by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA). He is also a Corporate Secretary of Sustainable PH, Inc., a nongovernment organization promoting the causes of sustainability in the Philippines. He is the recipient of the 2022 Sustainability Unplugged Award under the Corporate Sustainability Practitioners Category.

Jonas Marie graduated with a degree of BS Chemistry at the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 2015, and MSc Renewable Energy and Resource Management at the University of South Wales in 2017. He has been a Registered Chemist of the Philippines (RCh) since 2015.
